Until we get to the core/Hasta llegar al Meollo
Developed through enduring relationships with particular places, the projects emerge from territories marked by transformation, extraction, resilience, and renewal. Rather than treating landscapes as subjects to be represented, they engage them as collaborators that shape the conditions of artistic practice itself.
Moving between bodies, materials, territories, and forms of knowledge, the works follow the demands of each process rather than the boundaries of any single discipline. Together they ask what kinds of attention, responsibility, and imagination are required to repair our estrangement from the cycles that sustain life.
The exhibition brings together long-term projects by Amara Abdal Figueroa, Jorge González Santos, Camila Marambio & Ariel Byía, Gala Porras-Kim, Ernesto Pujol, and Merián Soto.
Throughout the exhibition, materials act not as symbols but as teachers.
Soil appears as a vessel of memory: the flesh and bones of territories, carrying the traces of what has been cultivated, consumed, buried, and transformed.
Peat emerges as a turbid metabolic intelligence that never fully dies. More than landscape, it is habitat, archive, and slow collaborator — a living system that knows how to transform, delay, ferment, and give back.
Singing drums fashioned from wood and hide reverberate with the generosity of the land. Formed through relationships among plants, animals, hands, and time, nature teaches the balance between taking, giving back, waiting, thanking, and accompanying.
The branch becomes a partner in movement, generating a choreography that emerges through the encounter of bodies.
Nature does her thing, and we simply let her in.
And memories of the natural environment appear not as a fixed record of the past but as a living process carried within bodies, places, and relationships.
