The Clark - First Sunday Free: Beasts and Bones

The Clark - First Sunday Free: Beasts and Bones For the 2025–26 First Sunday Free season, our focus is the outdoor sculpture exhibition Ground/work 2025!

As the year comes to a close, celebrate artist Hugh Hayden’s outdoor sculpture, the End. This massive artwork evokes the ribcage of a long-gone giant, and this First Sunday Free, we’re letting our imagination run wild! From 1–4 pm, enjoy drop-in art-making activities where you can draw your own X-ray and sketch a skeleton. Watch a recording of the artist discussing his artwork or brave the cold and see the sculpture for yourself, guided by our activity card all about the End. Then, create your own mini sculpture and place it on a large-scale map of the Clark’s campus to create a collaborative mini-Ground/work exhibition! For even more art-looking, check out a selection of prints, drawings, and photographs at a special Print Room Pop-Up from 1–3 pm!
