Summer Day on the Buckland Common

This family-friendly event offers a full day of activities for all ages, including children’s games, crafts, face painting, rock painting,
marshmallow shooters, cotton candy, popcorn, and more. Live entertainment throughout the day will feature performances by
Brook Batteau and His Band, the Curtis Rich Revue, the WhisperHoller Band, the Deborah Hill-Stevens Band, and the
Shelburne Falls Military Band.
Visitors can explore artisan and craft displays, historical exhibits, community organization tents, and interactive demonstrations. Highlights include author Ellen Feld signing her new book, The Five-Dollar Horse; a woodcarving demonstration and hands-on activities at the Buckland Historical Museum; quilt displays and raffles at Buckland
Public Hall; and basket-making demonstrations at the Buckland Public Library. Community groups and local organizations will share information on fire safety, disaster preparedness, CPR, recreational opportunities, and end-of-life planning. The event is hosted by several Buckland nonprofits and is made possible by sponsorship from Greenfield Cooperative Bank, public
donations, and community volunteers.
