Rebecca Clark: (Almost) Everything You Need to Know About Pastels

Fall is here, so that means it is workshop time here at the gallery. First workshop of the fall season is with Rebecca Clark, and it's called (Almost) Everything You Need to Know About Pastels. 

Join us Sunday, October 18^th from 9am -12 pm to learn the basics.

If you're fascinated with vibrant color and line work,and want to carve out a few hours on a Sunday morning , Becky will introduce you to the immediate gratification of soft fine art pastel.
This workshop will allow you to experiment while building skill and confidence in your handling of the medium. For both beginners and experienced artists, the session will include drawing exercises, opportunities to create finished artworks and offers an open environment of sharing knowledge and posing questions with individual attention.
In a very short time span we will touch on some of the most important aspects of mastering pastels. We will begin with mark making, move on to shadow and light, then still life, and end with landscapes.
Several types of paper, all pastels and necessary tools are provided.
