Print Room Pop-Up: Versus (Eugene Onegin)

Print Room Pop-Up: Versus (Eugene Onegin) Manton Study Center

This pop-up exhibition is presented in conjunction with The Met: Live in HD screening of Tchaikovsky’s Eugene Onegin. One of the central moments in the plot of the opera is a pride-fueled duel in which the titular Eugene Onegin accidentally kills his best friend, Vladimir Zlenski. This type of mortal conflict, and the irrevocable consequences it can bring to pass, has haunted and inspired many of the artists represented in the Clark’s collection of prints, drawings, and photographs. Visit the Manton Study Center for Works on Paper before the opera begins to view a selection of artworks featuring duels, battles, wars, and other clashes.

Free. No registration required.
