Piano Concert with Lucas Huang Amory

Piano Concert with Lucas Huang Amory Pianist and conductor Lucas Huang Amory is in his second year of graduate studies at Juilliard, following his undergraduate degree from Harvard, where he completed a double concentration in German and Music. A first prize winner at the 2024 PianoArts North American Competition, he has performed at prestigious venues including Carnegie’s Weill Recital Hall, Alice Tully Hall, and the 92nd Street Y.

Lucas will bring works by Beethoven, Mendelssohn, Brahms, and Mozart to The Adams Theater. “I want to read excerpts of some letters these composers have written that relate back to Beethoven in some way,” he said, “windows into their particular flavor of tenderness.

When not at the piano, Lucas is an active conductor and baritone. He is the outgoing Music Director of Harvard’s Bach Society Orchestra and has contributed to numerous opera and musical theater productions in both directorial and répétiteur roles.
