Two of the greatest contributors to chamber music literature are remembered this year, which marks the 200th anniversary of Haydn's death and of Mendelssohn's birth. In tribute we have programmed Haydn's Quarter Op20No.3, and his Trio Hob. XV/.25, a work which almost immediately became a household favorite for of its ebullient final "Gypsy Rondo" movement. Mendelssohn's profound piano Trio Op.49 closes our fortieth anniversary, its serene lyricism providing the assurance that great music is an invaluable nurturing resource for our lives. Familiar Mohawk Trail artist friends Masako Yanagita, and Sheila Reinhold, violin, Ronald Gorevic, violin & viola, Maxine Neuman, cello, and Abba Bogin, piano, perform.
