Menorah Lighting @ City Hall North Adams

Menorah Lighting @ City Hall North Adams Join us at City Hall for the lighting of the Menorah to celebrate the first night of Hanukkah.

The menorah is lit to commemorate the miracle of the oil that lasted for eight days after the Maccabees rededicated the Temple in Jerusalem. The tradition also symbolizes the spreading of light and hope, celebrating that a small amount of light can push back a great amount of darkness. It serves as a reminder to bring one's own light to the world by helping others, representing faith, courage, and divine presence.
