The Junior Ranger program is for children ages 8-12,
This program is open FREE.
The participants must complete a total of 8 activities (from either the Junior Ranger booklet or any combination of in person sessions plus additional booklet activities), in order to receive a Junior Ranger patch and certificate.
The Junior Ranger programs captures the imagination of young people through fun activities that grow future stewards of the environment. State park staff supervised. Junior Ranger activities promote outdoor recreation skills and ab appreciation of the natural world with a different theme each week.
Children must wear appropriate clothing for the weather. Sturdy walking shoes, water, a snack, sunscreen and bug spray are recommended.
Parents and/or guardians are required to participate.
Each session will meet at the Visitors Center on Rockwell Road.
