Founded in 2017 by pianist and musical director Renee Rosnes, Artemis is a powerful ensemble of modern jazz masters. Their second release on Blue Note Records, In Real Time, has garnered universal acclaim, with NPR writing that "it further establishes their prowess both as individuals and as a collective…a supergroup." Artemis has performed at prestigious venues worldwide, including Carnegie Hall, the Newport Jazz Festival, Monterey Jazz Festival, and Chicago Symphony Hall.
In his latest album, A Letter to Bill Evans, acclaimed bassist Leon Lee Dorsey teams up with renowned drummer Mike Clark and master pianist Michael Wolff for a creative and heartfelt tribute to the legendary Bill Evans. The album features innovative interpretations of classics such as the bossa-infused Gloria's Step and the stirring Turn Out the Stars.
