The vibrant stories of ancient Greek and Roman mythology have inspired artists for centuries. Examine mythological scenes in paintings and sculptures from the sixteenth to the twentieth century in the Clark’s collection. Learn how mythology became one of the four approved subjects for artists studying at the French Academy of Fine Arts in Paris, and how mythological scenes provided artists with an opportunity to show off their skills at portraying human bodies in the nude.

Capacity is limited. Pick up a ticket at the Clark Center admissions desk, available on a first-come, first-served basis.
