4th Annual Summer Solstice
Pricing: Free
Wild Soul River of Williamstown is excited to host our 4th Annual Summer Solstice Celebration! Summer Solstice is celebrated around the globe as part of midsummer celebrations. As celebrated in many cultures we carry wreaths of flowers and dance and drum into the setting sun around the fire.
Last year we welcomed over 300 people for an evening of food, drumming, and seasonal merriment. This year our Summer Solstice gathering will have live music from Williamstown’s own band Knotwork, food tents with Door Prize and Cricket Creek Farm, local cider from Berkshire Cider Project and non-alcoholic beverages from Rainy Day Coffee. There will be opportunities to make a flower crown with flowers from Full Well Farm and to get a blessing in the new blessing tent. Everything will culminate with a special summer solstice ritual where you can dance around the Solstice fire and drum with your own drum or join in on a community drum.
We are so excited to host this Summer Solstice at the Williamstown Historical Museum in South Williamstown. The Williamstown Historical Museum is the perfect outdoor venue for this agrarian folk tradition celebrating the full light of the longest day of the year.
This is a family-friendly, free event; no ticket or registration is required; however, donations are welcomed!
Parking will be designated. No parking on Rte 7.
