Hilltown Happenings by Tuyet Linh (TL) LaFleur

Tuyet Linh (TL) LaFleur is a Massachusetts based abstract artist located in the village of Shelburne Falls, MA. Using bright colors to create, enhance, change, and reveal a mood throughout her paintings, TL is dedicated to expressing her art through color.  “Hilltown Happenings” is a collection of paintings focusing on capturing the essence of nature through familiar scenes of the countryside of the surrounding hill towns using abstract forms and vibrant colors.

In TL’s own words, “The goal of (my) art is to entice the viewer to feel happy when they view (my) colorful paintings. (I) believe in the healing power of color and that color conveys a sense of happiness.”

TL has a BA in studio art from Davidson College in North Carolina. Her career has taken her to scenic painting for theatre in NC, working as manager at a sewing factory in NYC, working in sales advertisement at the Village Voice (also in NYC), and as a glass blower running her own business in MA. Presently, she returned to her roots of Fine Arts in painting.
