Donahue says “It’s been 20 years since we defined our definition for a planet. But what does that mean? If we compare our solar system to systems with exoplanets, how does the inclusion of Pluto and the dwarf planets (or not) influence things? Rather than worrying about what is or isn't a planet, we will take an approach examining the solar system as a whole. In this talk, we'll discuss how our view of the solar system has changed over time, what makes dwarf planets special, and their role in completing the solar system.”
