Massachusetts native, CJ Field, is a true American singer songwriter with a soulful, honest, voice. Dubbed “The future Bruce Springsteen of country music” by 2023 Tennessee Radio Hall Of Fame inductee, Devon O’Day, after hearing his single, “Goodbye Mona Lisa”, the song has become his fastest-streaming single amassing over 250,000 streams on Spotify, over 2 million views on TikTok and radio play on several stations around the country.
Field has shared stages with the likes of Ashley McBryde, Pam Tillis Aaron Lewis, Pam Tillis, Trent Tomlinson, Ira Dean, Delta Blues legend Lil’ Sammy Davis and more.
He co-wrote “Home Sweet Highway” with McBryde and Blue Foley, which she put on her Grammy, ACM and CMA nominated album Girl Going Nowhere that debuted at #7 on the Billboard Charts. Field is also a co-writer with McBryde and Foley on “6th of October”, which is on McBryde’s current album, The Devil I Know. She played it live on Good Morning America in 2024.
He continues to travel the world playing venues of all sizes and over 125 shows a year, including being a featured artist at the FreshGrass Music Festival, TinPan South Songwriters Festival, Nashville Nights International Songwriters Festival in Denmark, NASCAR events, PBR, NCAA football games and more. He released his first album, Cannonball, on vinyl in June 2024 featuring songs written with McBryde and Terri Jo Box, as well as background vocals by McBryde, Shelley Fairchild and Dani Flowers. The first run of 500 albums sold out exactly one year from the release date.
Dedicated to giving back to his community, Field founded the Field Day music series in 2023, supporting live music in his hometown of Massachusetts. The series includes fundraisers, songwriting workshops, and panel discussions with local high school students. In addition, he volunteers with Musicians on Call, performing for veterans at the local VA hospital, and recently launched his nonprofit organization, Fight 4 Them, which supports veterans. His powerful video for the song “The Soldier” debuted on CMT Online in August 2023, quickly garnering 52,000+ views on YouTube.
