Adams is Columbus Day Weekend! - Ramblefest & Mount Greylock Ramble

October 8th & 9th, 2023
Held during the peak of the Fall Foliage season, RambleFest offers two events: an awesome street festival and the 55th Greylock Ramble, a hike to the summit of Mount Greylock. For family fun during the fall foliage season, come to Adams. Adams is Columbus Day Weekend!
This page will be updated regularly with details for RambleFest 2023 held on October 8 & 9.
Until then here is what you can expect
Party on Sunday October 8th
Held outdoors at the Adams Visitor Center at 3 Hoosac Street, admission is free to a festival full of music, food and fun in celebration of autumn in the Berkshires. There will be live musical acts, local craft beer and local wine, great food, produce, outdoor recreation and craft exhibitors. Activities include a toasty campfire with marshmallows, pumpkin decorating and other activities for the kids. Leashed pets are welcome, so it’s fun for the whole family! Historic Train Rides by Berkshire Scenic Railway will also be available, right across Hoosac Street at Adams Station. The festival runs from noon to 5, rain or shine.
The consummate rockers of Phil and the Blanks will be the headline act at RambleFest 2023. They cover the essential hits from The Beatles to now. From 2:30 to 5. Prepare to dance!
The dynamic duo of Lindsay and Duffy will be our opening act, starting at noon.
Local Craft Beer & Wine
From our very first event, ProAdams has always featured local craft brewers and vintners. New to RambleFest this year is a selection from Berkshire’s newest brewery: Shire Breu-Hous based in nearby Dalton.
Balderdash Cellars from Richmond will be offering their fine wines by the glass. Balderdash has been at all of our 20 events. Welcome back!
In addition, non-alcoholic beverages will be offered at many vendors, including fresh cider from Adams’ own Jaeschke’s Orchard and some high octane coffee available at the Poseidon Coffee Kiosk.
Hike on Monday – October 9th - The Greylock Ramble
Since 1965, people that love the fall colors, fantastic views and a great hike in the woods gather at base of Mount Greylock on Columbus Day for the annual Greylock Ramble. It’s the ultimate way to experience autumn in the Berkshires. Free shuttles take hikers from Adams Visitor Center to and from the base of the Cheshire Harbor Trail from 8 am to 4 pm. Using the shuttle is strongly recommended, as parking near the trailhead is very limited. Shuttles will take hikers to the Cheshire Harbor Trail from 8 am to 1 pm, and return hikers to the Visitor Center until 4 pm. Pets are permitted on the hike, but not on the shuttles.
