All Good People Here is a thriller novel by Ashley Flowers, co-written with Alex Kiester, that follows journalist Margot Davies as she returns to her small hometown of Wakarusa, Indiana. Years earlier, Margot’s childhood neighbor, six-year-old January Jacobs, was murdered in a case that was never solved. When another young girl, Natalie Clark, disappears in 2019, Margot sees disturbing similarities between the two cases and becomes determined to uncover the truth.

As Margot investigates, the novel shifts between the 1994 aftermath of January’s death and Margot’s present-day search for answers. The dual timelines reveal how suspicion, grief, and long-buried secrets shaped the town and the people closest to the victims. Margot’s reporting forces her to confront not only the possibility that the killer has struck again, but also the painful memories she has carried since childhood.

At its core, the story examines how a seemingly quiet community can hide dangerous truths. Margot follows clues, questions old assumptions, and uncovers connections between January’s murder and Natalie’s disappearance. The novel builds suspense by showing how the past continues to haunt the present, leading Margot closer to answers that challenge what the town believes about guilt, innocence, and justice.
