A Mountain Mindful Walk with Suzy Conroy @ Mount Greylock

A Mountain Mindful Walk with Suzy Conroy @ Mount Greylock Mountain Mindfulness presents: A Mountain Mindful Walk with Suzy Conroy on Thursday June 18th at 10:30 am.

***NOTE: THIS PROGRAM MEETS AT THE GREYLOCK GLEN OUTDOOR CENTER, 165 Gould Rd, Adams.***

On this family friendly MINDFUL WALK, Suzy will guide us on a slow saunter incorporating elements of forest bathing, meditation and mindful breathing.
A mindful outdoor experience is an opportunity to invite present moment awareness or mindfulness to connect more deeply with our own breath, the land and our many friends in the “more than human” world.
Our time will be spent walking (about 1.5 miles) and pausing and connecting with nature, practicing proven ways to center and ground ourselves which will in turn help alleviate some of our stress and anxiety by learning to become more present. This experience may include, waking and warming up our bodies, a standing meditation, checking out the nooks and crannies and trees on our walk, looking for signs of wildlife, and a 15 to 20-minute seated meditation (sit spot).

Dress in layers for outdoor hiking in variable weather. Wear sturdy boots. Bring water, bug spray and a snack. Children under 18 must be accompanied by an adult. Program duration 2 hours.
