On Wednesday afternoons in July and August, drop in on a metalworking demonstration by a local blacksmith and create a unique piece of wire sculpture inspired by the intricate forms on view in the special exhibition, The Art of Iron. Learn about how craftsmen in the Berkshires carry on the ancient tradition of ironworking and get creative in our outdoor studio. Located outside under the Visitors’ Picnic Tent, these free activities are designed give creative context to gallery experiences. Our educators have all you need to get started! This activity is weather dependent.
