@ The Clark First Sunday Free: Hearth & Home

Sunday, March 3, 2019 (1:00 PM-4:00 PM)

On this First Sunday Free at the Clark, check winter doldrums at the door and spend the day celebrating all things cozy in the spirit of the Danish concept of hygge and other heartwarming traditions from around the world. Settle in by the digital hearth in the Michael Conforti Pavilion to write “warm fuzzies” to friends and family, make your own tea or cocoa blend to enjoy on a frosty day, and use our fiber art materials to create a weaving project that’s soft to the touch.
In common spaces around the museum, settle in with a friend to enjoy throw blankets and conversation starters, or pick up a sketch pad and self-guide to use in the galleries. At a special station downstairs in the Clark Center, watch local fiber artists at work at their looms and contribute to a giant knitted artwork.
At 1:30, 2:30, and 3:30 pm in the Manton Study Center for Works on Paper, gather with others to enjoy Art-Aloud, a series of spoken word and musical performances paired with works from the collection.
