Deerfield

Deerfield, settled in 1669, remains today the "New England that visitors hope to find".  Much of the village's passion for history centers around the infamous French and Indian attack of February 29, 1704 that caused Deerfield to be abandoned. Memorial Hall Museum and the museums of Historic Deerfield interpret the history of early America throughout the year to tourists, students and special interest groups.
