Budget Family Suite: Two rooms sharing a private bathroom. Room # 3 feels like a bird's nest in the huge pine that hugs its windows. It's a darker room in the morning for those who like to sleep in. It has a queen bed dressed in coverlets hand crocheted by Rebecca's grandmothers and additional single bed. Cooled with window fans and our lovely cool mountain air. Room # 4 is a smaller room with a double bed and a sunny view of the pastures and mountain ridge. Lovely quilted antique iron and brass double bed. Air conditioned.

Lodging includes a hearty, homemade, homegrown breakfast for everyone. You are welcome to use all Maple House amenities including the screened porch with brick oven fireplace, hammock, Adirondack chairs in the perennial garden, basketball hoop and other lawn games, outdoor grill and picnic area, trails in our 15 acres of woods, and outdoor fire pit. You may help feed the sheep and chickens. You are also welcome to use the trails and swim, boat, or fish on the pond in the Pelham Lake Park, just a half mile through our woods. This private 1,000 acre game preserve has a wonderful lake with lifeguard and free use of paddle boat, kayak or canoes. Also excellent tennis, volley ball, and basket ball courts, playground, free wood for fires or bar-B-Q, and 10 miles of hiking trails that include two small mountains you can climb.

The Mohawk Park is the only Campground on the Deerfield River where you can canoe, kayak or tube to your campsite. We offer a wide variety of campsites either river front or within close proximity.
We also have RV sites available as well as a shower house with his/her bathroom stalls and private hot showers!!
Fishing is really great on the Deerfield River. So what’s better than throwing a line in steps away from your campsite? Or you can book a trip with some really great local guides in the area!

A clear, cold river cascades through Mohawk Trail State Forest along a rocky streambed. One of the most scenic wonderland areas in massachusetts, the state forest offers visitors a taste of real wilderness in a rustic setting. Over 6,000 acres of mountain ridges deep gorges and tall old-growth trees support a diversity of plants and animal life.
56 wooded campsites are available seasonally, and six overnight log cabins are available year-round. Discover miles of rivers and streams for excellent trout fishing, a swimming area, and a day-use picnic area.
The state forest is located along and named for the Mohawk Trail a historic Native American foot path that connected the Connecticut and Hudson River Valleys. Sections of this route are open for hiking today as the Mahican-Mohawk Trail.
The forest is open May through mid October from sunrise until sunset.
Daily Parking Fee: $8 MA Vehicle, $10 non-MA Vehicle
Camping season is Mid April through Mid October, Cabins are available year round and accommodate 3-5 people. Recreational vehicles up to 30 ft. are permitted on designated sites.
Reservations are suggested.
Off-season camping is available, call for information.
